2014 BOE Chardonnay 10-Year Anniversary Edition
Crafted in a Burgundian method, this gold-hued, single-vineyard Chardonnay exhibits a subtle creaminess matched with great acidity and structure. Our sixth vintage release of this style of Chardonnay results in an exciting fusion of baked apple, dried pineapple, quince, and coconut with layered vanilla, and hints of smoke and honey. Old-world touches of minerality, walnut, and bright acidity balance the richness. Balanced and substantial, this Chardonnay has the potential to stand up to anything which requires a white with some weight — substantial fish dishes, roasted chicken, and pork or medium-firm cheeses and grilled vegetables!
Stainless steel fermented and stirred on its lees for six weeks in a tank. Transferred to a combination of new and used French oak barrels for 6 months for malolactic fermentation and maturation, with 10% stainless-steel Chardonnay blended back in.
