2022 Chronicle Wines "Pink"

Tasting Notes
Chronicle Wines' inaugural pink has the juiciness of Merlot and spice from Cabernet Franc and is a rosé to drink all summer through the cooler months. It's medium-bodied with pleasing brightness without being overly acidic. Cranberries, hibiscus, white pepper, and a whiff of maraschino cherry meet the nose and are followed by notes of clementine, grapefruit, and papaya.

Process
All fruit for this wine was picked and sent directly to the press for rosé production. The Merlot was fermented in two lots, and the Cabernet Franc vinified in a separate third lot. All winemaking was in stainless steel, under watchful eyes and cool temperatures. The aim was to take advantage of the beautiful and powerful color of the 2022 fruit and make a refreshing and light-on-its-feet pink wine with a lot of character.
