The 2022 Chronicle Red Wine Blend is a balanced, easy-drinking wine that offers both fruit-forward charm and subtle earthy complexity. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, it greets the nose with inviting aromas of dark cherry, mulberry, and mocha, layered with hints of açai berry, dark cocoa powder, and a touch of cedar. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied and smooth, showcasing vibrant dark fruit flavors that are complemented by the rustic earthiness and spice of the Cabernet Franc. The wine’s moderate 11.7% alcohol makes it gentle and approachable, with a long, satisfying finish that lingers with soft cocoa and berry notes. Process
Each of the separate lots was fermented separately in stainless steel or open punch-down bins, then brought together in a combination of second-year and third-year French Oak barrels for maturing.
