2021 Chronicle Wines Riesling
We've crafted a bone-dry style Riesling that meets the nose with lime and star fruit and cuts through the palate with a lovely lemon tang. The zippiness of the wine has you reaching for another sip with its notes of Anjou pear, grapefruit, and clean minerality. Drink alongside hearty white meat dishes like roasted duck or chicken or enjoy as a standalone aperitif to whet appetites!
The fruit for this vintage was sourced from the North Eastern shore of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes and crushed and pressed before being transported to the winery on the North Fork. We applied a cool ferment in stainless steel to allow Riesling to develop slowly and carefully bringing out the full potential of the fruity, floral, and mineral notes that the Finger Lakes Riesling is famous for. After fermenting, the new wine was rested in the tank on the lees for three weeks before racking and fining. The finished wine was bottled after resting in the tank for another three months.
